Hello.  I started teaching in Sept 2010 and have spent 8 years with the Vancouver District.  For the last 3 years, I have been in the Coquitlam School District.  Before teaching, I completed my apprenticeship and worked as a Red Seal Machinist.  I have always enjoyed working with my hands, head and heart.

I attended a wood pen turning presentation at the BCTEA confernce over a decade ago (I believe Mr. Parsons hosted that workshop) and I started offering this project to my students.  It has been a popular project with students and I am happy to share my procedures with you.  I am working on a short video explaining pen turning, the equipment needed, the procedures from start to finish, as well as any tricks I have picked up along the way.  After the video is played, I will go live for a discussion.  I look forward to connecting with you.
